Advanced 3d Visualization
This photorealistic 3d scene designed for use as a set for live actors in a television pilot.
A big part of achieving realism is the use of textures. Textures can be hand painted or adapted from photographs of brick wall and similar surfaces. The 'look' of the brick floor of the alley and the building walls is entirely the result of texture mapping. The 'raised' appearance is the result of using 'bump-maps' of the textures which define how light will hit the surface during rendering. From extensive travels with a camera, we've developed a pretty extensive library of texture and bump maps. A few examples are shown on our texture page
