In Asia Japanese terrorists assassinate three senior American intelligence officers. Rollo Satterfield, an inexperienced trainee, discovers a link and is dispatched to Singapore where he identifies the assassins. Unbeknownst to Rollo, the Director dispatches a relative, ex-Green Beret Jocko Satterfield on a mission of revenge. After this episode is resolved, Rollo's career takes him to Teheran where he uncovers a plot to kidnap the American Ambassador. Rollo's success leads to a persona non grata departure and eventually to Lisbon where he immediately finds himself embroiled in Portugal's political anarchy. Jocko, now his Agency's secret assassin, undertakes dangerous missions to Africa and finally to Lisbon where his target is the notorious O Gordo, the Beast of Luanda. | Robert Skidmore is a graduate of West Virginia University and a teaching assistanceship at the University of Wisconsin where he worked on his Doctorate in American History. He spent thirty-five years in the Foreign Service of the United States.
